Functional Assessments

Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia are specialised evaluations conducted to assess an individual's functional abilities, limitations, and support needs. These assessments are crucial in determining a participant's eligibility for NDIS support and in developing their individualised support plan.

The primary goal of Functional Capacity Assessments is to gather comprehensive information about an individual's functional abilities across various domains such as mobility, communication, self-care, social interaction, and cognitive functioning. This information helps NDIS planners and allied health professionals understand the participant's strengths, challenges, and areas where support is required.

Good Rituals Occupational Therapy can provide the following reporting services:

  • End of plan reports

  • Collaboration with the care team

  • Functional Capacity Reports

  • Home and living assessments

Our focus is supporting those with a disability engage in their daily rituals to live their best possible lives.
